Parenting a neurodivergent kid is a different kind of hard — and a different kind of joyful.

Resilient Joy Coaching helps parents of children with ADHD and autism trade guilt and guesswork for a steady, confident way forward — one that fits your actual family, not a textbook one.

Virtual sessions, nationwide — evenings & weekends available

Three things every family we work with comes to trust.

You don't need a different child. You need a different set of tools, a calmer nervous system, and someone who's been exactly here before.

Strategies built for your child

No generic scripts. We start with how your child's brain actually works, then build routines and language that hold up on your hardest days, not just your easiest ones.

A regulated parent, first

Your calm is the intervention. Coaching gives you somewhere to put your own overwhelm so you can show up steadier — before we ever talk about your child's behavior.

Someone in your corner

Between sessions, questions and rough mornings still happen. You get an actual person who remembers your kid's name, not a workbook you're working through alone.

About Resilient Joy Coaching

Hi, I'm Antonette Dominique.

Founder & Parent Coach, ADHD & Autism Families

I help parents move from constantly managing crises to actually enjoying their kids again — with strategies grounded in how neurodivergent brains work, not how the parenting books assume they work.

Why I do this work

I didn't come to this work from a textbook first — I came to it from a kitchen table, a meltdown I didn't know how to end, and a pile of advice that assumed my child was misbehaving instead of struggling. It took years of trial, training, and unlearning to find an approach that actually fit.

That approach is what I now bring to every family I work with: your child isn't broken and doesn't need fixing. Their brain works differently, and once you understand how, most of the daily battles stop being battles at all.

Resilient Joy Coaching exists because I believe two things can be true at once — parenting a child with ADHD or autism can be genuinely exhausting, and it can also be full of a specific, hard-won kind of joy. My job is to help you build the resilience to hold both.

What guides every session

Curiosity over correction

We ask what a behavior is communicating before we try to change it.

Your family's reality

Strategies are built around your actual routine, energy, and constraints.

Progress, not perfection

Small, sustainable shifts beat a perfect plan you abandon in a week.

You're allowed joy too

Your wellbeing isn't a side note — it's part of the plan from day one.

How we'll work together

The same four steps, whichever path you choose.

1

Free discovery call

We talk through what's happening at home and whether coaching — and I — are the right fit for your family.

2

A plan built around your child

We map the specific patterns, triggers, and goals for your household, and choose the coaching format that fits.

3

Sessions, feedback, and adjustment

You try strategies at home between sessions; we refine them together based on what actually happens.

4

A steadier rhythm at home

Fewer daily battles, a calmer version of you, and tools that keep working long after coaching ends.

Not sure which option fits?

Tell me a bit about your child and I'll point you toward the right starting place.

A few common questions

Do you diagnose ADHD or autism? +

No — I'm a parent coach, not a clinician. I work alongside your child's diagnosis (or the process of getting one) to help you build strategies at home. I'm always happy to refer you to an evaluator if you need one.

What ages do you work with? +

Most families I coach have children between 4 and 16, though I've worked with parents of both younger children and young adults. We'll talk through fit on your free call.

Is coaching covered by insurance? +

Parent coaching generally isn't a billable medical service, so it isn't covered by insurance. Some Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) do accept it — I can provide documentation if you'd like to check.

How soon can we start? +

After your free discovery call, most families begin within one to two weeks, depending on the option you choose.
